VINCE GILL AND OTHER CMA AWARD WINNERS WILL TAKE THE STAGE DURING “THE 50TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS” AIRING WEDNESDAY, NOV. 2 ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

The 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards will be an occasion to celebrate with performances by seven additional former CMA Entertainer of the Year winners includingAlabama, Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Charley Pride, Reba, andGeorge Strait.

This illustrious group of performers is among the most lauded artists in CMA Awards history with a combined 375 nominations and 94 wins, including 14 for the CMA Awards’ top honor: Entertainer of the Year. As if that weren’t enough, Brooks & Dunn, Gill, Pride, and Reba have all hosted Country Music’s Biggest Night™.

“These superstars have been an important part of our legacy and have contributed so much to our current success,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted they are going to be part of this important milestone anniversary.”

Each of the artists also participated in “Forever Country,” a tribute to the CMA Awards which featured 30 CMA Award winning acts appearing in a medley of Country classics including John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.” The song and music video have been toppings sales and airplay charts around the globe.

“The 50th Annual CMA Awards” will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwoodand broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 2 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Esteemed members of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Alabama has 41 CMA Awards nominations and nine wins including three for Vocal Group, and three for Entertainer of the Year (1982-1984).

Brooks & Dunn hosted the CMA Awards from 2004-2006. They have 50 nominations and 19 wins including one for Entertainer (1996) and 14 for Vocal Duo of the Year (1992-1999, 2001-2006).

Another Hall of Fame member, Gill holds the record for hosting the CMA Awards with 12 turns at the podium (1992-2003). He has 53 CMA Awards nominations and 18 wins including five consecutive trophies for Male Vocalist (1991-1995) and two wins for Entertainer of the Year (1993, 1994).

Jackson has 81 CMA Awards nominations and 16 wins including two for Male Vocalist (2002, 2003) and three for Entertainer of the Year (1995, 2002, 2003).

Pride hosted the Awards in 1975 and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. He has received 18 CMA Awards nominations and has won three times including two for Male Vocalist (1971, 1972) and once for Entertainer of the Year (1971).

Country Music Hall of Fame member Reba hosted the CMA Awards from 1990-1992. She is the most nominated woman in CMA Awards history with 49 nominations. She has won six times including four for Female Vocalist (1984-1987) and once for Entertainer of the Year (1986).

Strait is also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and is the most awarded artist in CMA Awards history with 83 nominations and 23 wins including five for Male Vocalist (1985,1986, 1996-1998) and three for Entertainer of the Year (1989, 1990, 2013).
